Description

Summary:

Responsible for expediting all nonconformance (internal and external), complaints and product quality issues, Responsible for expediting all FAIR packages in timely manner, Responsible for planning, organizing and leading quality initiatives with the Quality Clinic as well as assuring that Quality is a key focus for every department in their functional activities. Responsible for Chicago Magnesium's documented quality system and floor support for quality issues and operations of the Quality Clinic. The incumbent is responsible for making sure that proper processes are in place to maintain World Class Quality.ย 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform NC processing on daily basis (prevent overflow to next day)
  • Respond to customers in timely and professional manner for complaints, containment and RMA requests or any product quality related inquires (within 24 hours as a quality department goal and/or customer expectations)
  • Carry out all corrective actions in timely manner (external within 10 working days and internal corrective actions within 20 days as a quality department goal)
  • Prepare AS9100 FAIR packages in timely manner, support new product launch
  • Conduct scheduled MRB meetings effectively with Production Leads and Supervisors as determined by Plant manager
  • Ensure plant employees perform inspection of each casting in accordance with quality control standards and order requirements before pass-off and that appropriate documentation is completed accurately.
  • Support the Plants comprehensive Quality Systems strategy that ensures the timely manufacture of current products that meet quality, cost, safety, and delivery standards.
  • Support Level III Penetrant responsibilities
  • Assist the quality systems audit, NADCAP audits, Customer audits and action system to ensure conformance (internal & external) as directed by Quality Manager
  • Report & track any significant deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective action to the Quality Manager.
  • Support the use of electronic inspection plans (UniPoint) by training Quality Technician(s) as directed by Quality Manager
  • Establish and present regular training for employees on quality issues, and develop programs to encourage each employee to perform quality control as part of operations.
  • Follow all company rules and policies (Employee Handbook), Quality policies and safety policies.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Quality or Engineering field
  • 2-4 years Quality and manufacturing experience
  • Problem solving/Clinic training
  • ASQ education or training preferred
