Job description

Job Title: Fan Events Team Member
Department: Events & Entertainment
Reports To: Sr. Coordinator, Events & Entertainment
Location: On-Site at United Center (UC) / Blackhawks Ice Arena (BIC)
Hours: Up to 34 hours per week. Schedule varies based on the event and game schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Duration: 2026-27 NHL Season (September through April)
Status: Part-Time / Seasonal

Role Summary:

If you are looking towards a career in events or sports and know the value of providing an energetic and welcoming experience for guests, we want to hear from you! The Blackhawks are looking to add to our Fan Events and Experiences Team that will be the boots-on-the-ground for all Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago Steel events. Team members will be responsible for the set-up, tear down, and execution for assigned activations, including but not limited to; home games, ticket and sponsorship promotions, watch parties, and more. We are looking for individuals who are eager to gain hands on experience, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excited to play a major role in delivering legendary fan experiences for the Chicago Blackhawks organization!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the set-up, execution, and tear down of various team events. Including home games, watch parties, community, youth hockey, and brand events
  • Execute in-game promotions and marketing concourse activations during Blackhawks and Steel home games
  • Support in game entertainment elements including tv timeouts, intermissions, and arena host segments
  • Execute pre- and post-game promotions as needed. (Jr. Hawks Programming, Ticketing Initiatives, and Atrium Themed Events)
  • Support pre and post season marketing events as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

The Team:

The Chicago Blackhawks started their journey as one of the NHLs Original Six professional ice hockey teams in 1926. Members of the Central Division in the NHLs Western Conference and six-time Stanley Cup Champions (1934, 1938, 1961, 2010, 2013, 2015), the team calls the United Center home.
