iKids U Austin is hiring our Fall 2026 teaching cohort now!

We are seeking Experienced Childcare Staff to train as iKids U Instructors leading group activities and keeping fun a top priority at Austin elementary schools! Schedule is 4-5 days per week, part time 10 -15 hours from 2:30 - 5/6 PM, thru 2027 spring semester, May/June 2027.
Our Stay, Play, & Learn class celebrates child's choice in creative stations including craft-based and recreational activities! iKids U also provides courses in Cooking, Art, Chess, Science, Drama, Robotics, Chess and more! All lesson plans and supplies are provided by the campus supervisor. iKids provides an organized teaching environment for instructors interested in developing leadership and communication skills with elementary-age students.
Details:
  • Pay range is $15.00 17.00 per hour
  • Afternoons 2:30 - 5 / 6:00 PM, 2-5 days/week
  • Instructors work 6 - 15 hours per week (no weekends)
  • Part time following the 2026-2027 Austin elementary school calendar

Duties:
  • Implement iKids lesson plans & engage kids in various enrichment courses
  • Monitor and maintain child safety on playground, during activities and snack breaks
  • Provide homework assistance and actively engage with students
  • Maintain classroom management
  • Assist in organizing materials and a child-friendly space
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and parents
  • Support iKids mission to provide high quality enrichment, tutoring, and care
  • May lift 5-30 lbs; anticipate physical demands of an Austin elementary school and playground setting.
Required:
  • Experience with children (like camps, coaching, teaching, tutoring, workshops, child care, child development, teacher assistance, special education, child therapy, instructional assistance, substitute teaching, or baby-sitting / childcare)
  • Maintain a consistent, weekly teaching schedule, 2-5 days/week
  • Independent transportation and currently residing in Austin metroplex
  • Required High School Diploma or equivalent (18 yrs old minimum); some college hours preferred
  • Clear background and fingerprinting results
