Job Description:

We're looking for a sanitation supervisor who will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene within the plant. This role is critical to ensuring the safety and quality of our ice cream.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead crew of janitor/maintenance employees. Ensuring they are following all HACCP checklists and completing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning.
  • Ensuring employees are always wearing all necessary PPE for handling the chemicals.
  • Keeping inventory of all chemicals, Chemical room and janitor closet and making sure all SDS and MSDS sheets are up to date and in the Need to Know binder.
  • Putting in orders for all cleaners and supplies needed for use of chemicals.
  • Organizing and training of chemical usage, and chemical training through ChemStation.
  • Investigate and report any safety or sanitation incidents
  • Work with Quality Control to implement quality control measures to maintain levels of bacteria down in Zones 1, 2 and 3 down.
  • Oversee that everyday hygiene rules are followed, implement corrective action if not
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Punctual and reliable
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP or SQF (willing to take HACCP/Food safety course to obtain knowledge)
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high product quality
  • Proficiency in using computer software for record-keeping and reporting
  • Ability to work in a cold and physically demanding environment
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills, bilingual a plus

3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 pm - 6:30 AM

Pay: $24 - 27 /hr
