DESCRIPTION
- Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm, no weekends
- 250-bed medical center, 30 FTEs
- Comprehensive benefits and rewards package
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures adequate and qualified staffing for the department (staff hiring, orientation, competency, training, performance feedback and performance management)
- Sets and executes department strategies to meet goals
- Oversees the financial operation for the laboratory by monitoring resource utilization, identifying variances and opportunities
- Assures compliance with standards set forth by CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS
- Manages key vendor relationships and supply contracts
- Monitors and evaluates staff and provides management, coaching, and guidance
QUALIFICATIONS
- Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry
- Masters Degree preferred
- National Certification as a Medical Technologist required
-2-3 years of progressive laboratory management experience is required with complex laboratory operations
- Hospital clinical laboratory experience
