Job description

Overview
The Chemical Technician supports field operations by managing, monitoring, and optimizing chemical treatment programs across oil and gas facilities.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems across wells, pipelines, and production facilities
  • Perform routine sampling and testing of water, oil, and gas to evaluate treatment effectiveness
  • Adjust chemical injection rates based on field conditions and lab results
  • Troubleshoot chemical pumps, injection systems, and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, inventory, and treatment performance
  • Coordinate chemical deliveries and manage on-site inventory levels
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Work closely with operations, production, and engineering teams to optimize chemical programs
  • Conduct field inspections to identify corrosion, scaling, paraffin, or other production issues
  • Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and hazard communication standards

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in oil and gas, chemical treating, or related field required.
  • Basic understanding of chemical treatment processes (corrosion inhibition, scale control, etc.)
  • Experience with chemical injection systems and field equipment preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, fit for duty and agility.
