We are seeking an **Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor** to lead all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security initiatives for our Willoughby manufacturing facility.This highly visible role partners closely with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to ensure regulatory compliance, strengthen safety culture, drive sustainability initiatives, and lead continuous improvement efforts that create a safer, healthier, and more efficient workplace. If you enjoy influencing change, solving complex challenges, and making a measurable impact, we invite you to join our team.## What You'll Do### Champion a World-Class Safety Culture* Lead the site's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) programs and foster a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility* Develop and implement long-term EHSS strategies, annual objectives, and performance metrics* Promote employee engagement through training, coaching, and daily interaction that reinforces safe work practices* Champion sustainability and KAITEKI initiatives that support environmental responsibility and operational excellence### Ensure Regulatory Compliance* Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental regulations, and Mitsubishi Chemical safety standards* Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the site's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Management System (Business Excellence System)* Manage environmental compliance programs and regulatory reporting* Serve as the primary contact for internal and external EHSS audits and regulatory inspections### Lead Risk Management & Continuous Improvement* Drive risk assessments, process safety reviews, root cause investigations, and corrective action programs* Lead incident investigations and implement preventive actions that reduce workplace injuries and environmental incidents* Identify opportunities to improve housekeeping, 5S, safety performance, and operational risk management* Utilize DMAIC and continuous improvement methodologies to solve complex EHSS challenges### Partner with Operations & Site Leadership* Serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, providing strategic guidance on safety, environmental compliance, and sustainability initiatives* Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to proactively identify and mitigate EHSS risks* Support new projects, process changes, and operational improvements through effective risk assessments and safety planning* Assist plant leadership in making business decisions that support safe and sustainable operations### Develop People & Drive Engagement* Develop and deliver EHSS training programs for employees across the facility* Mentor leaders and employees on EHSS best practices, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement* Facilitate cross-functional improvement teams focused on reducing risk and improving operational performance* Promote accountability through performance metrics, leading indicators, and ongoing communication### Support Regional Initiatives* Support Americas EHSS projects and best-practice sharing across multiple facilities* Assist with multi-site EHSS initiatives as assigned* Travel to North American facilities to support corporate EHSS programs and continuous improvement initiatives## What We're Looking For* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field preferred* **5–7 years of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) experience*** Manufacturing experience strongly preferred* Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industrial safety practices* Experience leading audits, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs* Understanding of DMAIC problem-solving methodology and continuous improvement principles* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial manufacturing processes* Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems* Proven ability to influence teams and drive a positive safety culture## Preferred Qualifications* Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or other relevant professional certification* Experience in plastics, polymers, or advanced manufacturing* Experience with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Management Systems* Experience leading sustainability or environmental improvement initiatives## Travel* **10–25% travel** to North American manufacturing facilities* Occasional international travel may be required## Why Join Us?* Lead Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security initiatives for a growing manufacturing operation* Play a critical role in protecting employees, the environment, and the community* Partner directly with plant leadership to influence operational strategy and business decisions* Drive meaningful continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives* Join a global organization committed to innovation, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship* Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageThe salary range for this position is $77,680.00 - $116,520.00 USD Annual. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.
