  • Training Note: Must be able to train on 1st shift for the first 3 to 4 weeks before moving to 2nd shift.

PrideStaff - Greenville is seeking a highly skilled, leadership-minded Reactor Operator for an industrial chemical facility for our customer in the Greenville, SC area.

In this specialized role, you will oversee the reaction of multiple chemicals from building blocks to finished products, working with an array of chemical reactors and support utilities.


Reactor Operator Primary Responsibilities include:

Your main responsibility is the safe operation of chemical reactor systems and the precise processing of batch sheets, while preparing to step into a shift leadership role.

  • Reactor Operations: Safely operate and monitor chemical reactors and support utilities to guide chemicals from raw components to finished products.
  • Batch Execution: Meticulously follow batch sheet recipes, accurately weigh materials, and carefully document all manufacturing activities.
  • Chemical Handling: Safely handle, transfer, and log hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals in accordance with strict safety procedures.
  • Material Movement: Perform pre-shift inspections and operate a lift truck (forklift) to transport materials through the facility.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and clean assigned machinery, equipment, and production areas daily.

 

Reactor Operator Requirements include:

  • Chemical Manufacturing Experience: Prior Chemical Operator experience is strictly REQUIRED. Must have experience with chemical operating, handling, and weighing.
  • Technical Compliance: Exceptional attention to detail with strong oral and written communication skills to maintain accurate production records.
  • Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work an 8-10 hour shift, and comfortably ascend/descend steps, stairs, and ladders.
  • Environmental & PPE: Must be comfortable working in a hot/cold/humid industrial environment and capable of wearing a respirator and other required safety equipment.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. (Open to applicants without a college diploma; military-experienced candidates are highly encouraged to apply).
