Production Mixer / Chemical Batch Operator
Pay: $25.00-$27.00/hour (Maximum starting rate: $27.00/hour)
Shift: Day Shift | Typically 6:00-7:00 AM start, ending around 2:00-3:00 PM (8-10 hour days)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | No weekends or holidays

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Production Mixer/Chemical Batch Operator to perform routine formulation and manufacturing of chemical products by accurately following Mix Tickets (batch records), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous batching or mixing experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment and understand inventory control and safe material handling practices.
Top Qualifications
  • Experience following Mix Tickets or batch records to manufacture products accurately.
  • Ability to determine the proper mixing vessel size and mixing blade configuration based on batch specifications.
  • Experience utilizing FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacture products by accurately following Mix Tickets, batch records, and SOPs.
  • Select the appropriate mixing vessel and mixing blades based on batch size, weight, and product requirements.
  • Weigh raw materials accurately using calibrated scales while maintaining required precision.
  • Operate mixing equipment safely and efficiently throughout the production process.
  • Stage, organize, and return raw materials using FIFO inventory practices.
  • Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Support inventory accuracy through 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor equipment performance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Troubleshoot minor process or equipment issues and assist with investigations, deviations, and documentation.
  • Identify and report quality or safety concerns to management immediately.
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and company procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience following batch records or Mix Tickets in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to accurately weigh and measure raw materials.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate weights and measurements using a calculator.
  • Previous forklift experience required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing production priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, batching, mixing, or chemical production.
  • Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and chemical production environment.
