Senior Research Engineer - Process Innovation Lead Dayton, OH | Full-Time | On-Site

$100,000 - $130,000 + 8% Annual Bonus

A global specialty chemicals company with nearly a century of innovation is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to lead process development and industrialization efforts across a range of chemical technologies. This is a high-ownership role driving both cost reduction and long-term process innovation within a well-resourced R&D organization.

What You Will Do

  • Lead multi-functional project teams from concept through manufacturing implementation
  • Develop and scale new process technologies from lab to pilot to production
  • Identify emerging technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering on plant trials and industrialization plans
  • Mentor technicians and junior researchers supporting your projects

What You Bring

  • Degree in Chemical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in chemical engineering, process development, or scale-up
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently with little to no direct supervision
  • Solid understanding of safety and environmental procedures

Compensation and Benefits
