Fresh Market Associate - Cheese & Salumi

Eataly is the world's largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace! Eataly is not a chain; each Eataly is different, with its own character and own theme – but all with the same aim... for our guests to:

  • Eat authentic Italian food at our restaurants, cafés and to-go counters
  • Shop a selection of high-quality Italian, local and homemade products
  • Learn through our classes and our team's product knowledge

Eataly's cheese department is home to 500+ of the highest quality cheeses specially sourced from Italy, internationally and locally. Many of the cheeses are entirely exclusive to Eataly. A Cheesemonger prepares, packages, receives and stocks product. A Cheesemonger has passion for cheese and the ability to share that passion with Eataly's guests. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.

  • Assists guests with cheese selection and shares knowledge of products
  • Weighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely manner
  • Ensures counter and display refrigerators neatly and accurately as per the pricing menu, and promptly informs management when food quantities or supplies are low
  • Merchandizes displays attractively and rotates products per quality and First In First Out (FIFO) standards
  • Cleans work station thoroughly
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, packaging machinery and a cash register

Compensation: Pay range is set at $17 - $18 an hour.
