Job description

About DataStealth

DataStealth is a single, unified AI data security platform (DSP) that discovers, classifies, and protects sensitive data across your entire environment — from on-premise to legacy systems to cloud. Wherever your data lives or flows, we protect it using the latest technologies and AI. We do this without requiring complex integrations or changes to your existing applications, ensuring security that enables, rather than hinders, your business. By seamlessly applying data protection strategies such as tokenization, we ensure that even if your perimeter is breached, your data remains unusable if it falls into the wrong hands.

Recognized for the fifth consecutive year as a Great Place to Work, we are one of the world's leading and fastest growing cybersecurity software companies. Our patented technology gives our large enterprise customers a paradigm-shifting way to solve the data security problems that legacy approaches cannot.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of complex, technical projects. You will serve as the bridge between our customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and adherence to project scope. While you don’t need to code, you will need a solid understanding of technical concepts to effectively manage expectations, relay technical requirements, and make informed decisions when necessary.

In this role, you will take an active, hands-on approach to managing projects and facilitating their completion, from initiation to delivery. You will be responsible for creating and managing project documentation (including PID, checkpoint reports, and lesson logs), tracking progress, removing obstacles, and holding both internal and external teams accountable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership & Execution: Lead the planning and execution of technical projects, ensuring all milestones are met, risks are mitigated, and issues are proactively addressed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and customers. You must be able to understand and ask the right technical questions to ensure customer requirements are captured accurately.
  • Project Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including the Project Initiation Document (PID), checkpoint reports, and lessons log. Ensure that all documentation reflects the progress and decisions made during the project lifecycle.
  • Scope & Change Management: Manage project scope, ensuring that any proposed changes are assessed, documented, and communicated clearly with the necessary follow-up and approval. Ensure that scope creep is minimized and managed effectively.
  • Schedule & Budget Management: Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Provide regular reporting to both internal teams and clients on project progress, challenges, and budget adherence.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks and issues, and take steps to resolve them quickly. Escalate when needed, but always be focused on removing barriers to project success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Infrastructure, Implementation and customer-facing teams to ensure that all project components are delivered on schedule and meet the required quality standards.
  • Accountability: Hold both internal and external teams accountable for their deliverables. Ensure that actions are taken, follow-ups are done, and any delays or missed deadlines are addressed quickly.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience of 3+ years as a Project Manager in a technical environment, preferably within a scale-up.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, with a solid working knowledge of project management methodologies, including PID, checkpoint reports, lessons logs, and stage boundaries.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and ask the right questions to clarify requirements.
  • Experience with managing complex projects and holding both internal and external stakeholders accountable.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflicts or obstacles as they arise.
  • Ability to manage projects end-to-end, with hands-on involvement in every phase of the project lifecycle.
  • PRINCE2 foundation certification or equivalent.

Nice-to-Have:

  • PRINCE2 practitioner certification or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing technical enterprise-level software implementation projects.
