Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions
  • Lead client engagements, and develop and implement tax-efficient structures for US investments
  • Direct and assist in the compliance aspects of US tax for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations and individuals
  • Ensure tax filings comply with standards regarding property investments, income, and allocations
  • Provide technical tax expertise regarding tax-efficient structures and planning, review US tax estimates and projections
  • Research and manage complex tax matters, including planning and compliance, and respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities
  • Staying current on recent tax developments within the US area, and leading technical tax training for staff
  • Work closely with senior management in mentoring, supervising and evaluating staff
Experience:
  • 7-10 years tax experience tax experience including tax planning, compliance, and preparation
  • 4+ years of management experience
  • Big 4 firm experience (preferred)
Education:
  • Bachelor degree in accounting (required)
  • CPA license required
  • Thorough knowledge of the tax impact to individuals, their business and investments
  • Masters of Tax degree (preferred)
Skills:
  • Communication (verbal and written); Interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking and follow through skills
  • Integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness and client-service skills
  • Computer proficiency with software programs such as RIA Checkpoint, Client full suite of tax software: UltraTax, Workpapers, Practice CS and File Cabinet, Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
