Job description

Checkered Flag Automotive Group is looking for a high-line Service Manager to lead our service department and support our commitment to delivering a world-class experience for our customers and team members.
As a Service Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and long-term success of the service department, including service consultants, technicians, shop leadership, warranty, support staff, and customer service teams. This role is responsible for building strong teams, improving processes, achieving manufacturer and dealership goals, and ensuring the department operates efficiently and profitably.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead, coach, and develop service department team members to create a high-performing and customer-focused culture.
  • Oversee daily service operations, ensuring efficient workflow, quality repairs, and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive department performance by monitoring key metrics, identifying opportunities, and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Manage financial performance, including labor sales, profitability, expenses, productivity, efficiency, and overall department growth.
  • Partner with dealership and executive leadership to execute manufacturer objectives, dealership initiatives, and department goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers by resolving concerns and ensuring a consistent, positive ownership experience.
  • Oversee staffing needs, hiring, performance management, training, and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, safety requirements, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with parts, sales, and other departments to support overall dealership success.

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous automotive service leadership experience required.
  • High-line automotive experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dealership service operations, financial performance, and key service metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and create accountability.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze department performance and create action plans to achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM, rotating Saturday
