Transit Employees Federal Credit Union (TEFCU) is a community-focused, member-first financial institution serving transit agency employees and their families in the Washington, D.C. area. We’re looking for a friendly, knowledgeable Member Services Representative to be the first point of contact for our members. In this role, you’ll assist with accounts, answer questions, resolve issues, and guide members on our products and services. Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information on products, services, and policies, including lending and member services
- Handle inbound/outbound calls and respond to inquiries across digital platforms
- Process transactions (deposits, transfers, payments, account updates)
- Open and manage member accounts; actively promote services
- Assist with wires, disputes, stop payments, and check processing
- Support branch operations and reporting
- Perform administrative and operational tasks as needed
Schedule:
Full-time, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM , with occasional extended hours and 1–2 Saturdays per month .
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a financial institution
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a financial institution
- Previous Credit Union experience
- Loan processing experience
