Job description

TOYOTA OF HERNANDO · CAREERS

Service Director

A winning culture, rooted in the community.

Toyota of Hernando is looking for a Service Director who leads from the front. You know how to read a service board at a glance, hold advisors and technicians accountable to a standard, and turn department performance into a number you're proud to put your name on. Your team relies on you to set the pace, solve problems before they become complaints, and make sure every guest leaves with more trust in us than they walked in with. If you bring discipline, insight, and genuine leadership to work every day, we want to talk to you.

What You Will Do
  • Lead all day to day operations of the Service Department, holding the team accountable to performance and CSI standards.
  • Own the department's financial performance: forecast, budget, and drive profitability across labor and parts gross.
  • Coach and develop service advisors and technicians, building a team that performs under pressure and takes pride in the work.
  • Partner with the Parts Department to keep the right inventory on hand and repairs moving.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns quickly and professionally, protecting the dealership's reputation and the guest relationship.
  • Ensure every process, from write up to delivery, meets Toyota brand standards and reflects Synergy's commitment to excellence.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base plus performance-based incentive plan: tied directly to department profitability and CSI.
  • A high-volume, climate-controlled shop: with the infrastructure to support real growth.
  • Continuous paid training: and leadership development.
  • Five day work week: for real work/life balance.
  • Real influence: this is a seat with the authority to build and run the department your way.
Who Succeeds Here

Our top service leaders tend to share a few things in common. They are:

  • Strategic: they see the whole board, not just today's tickets.
  • Accountable: they own results, good or bad.
  • People-first: they build advisors and technicians up, not just manage them.
  • Composed under pressure: busy days don't rattle them.
  • Genuinely service-minded: they see every repair order as someone's whole day.
About Toyota of Hernando

Toyota of Hernando is a winning culture, built the right way and deeply engaged in DeSoto County and the Midsouth community we serve. We're called Synergy because no single person makes a dealership work: it's technicians, advisors, sales consultants, managers, porters, and receptionists all moving in the same direction. When you join us, you're not signing on to be a hero by yourself; you're joining a team that wins, or falls short, together. And here, we're winning.

What We Believe
  • Serve with excellence: we help people move forward with trust and freedom, making transportation more trustworthy, accessible, and responsible.
  • Invest in our people: we build careers, not headcount. The people who serve our guests are the people we spend the most on.
  • Strengthen our communities: we create lasting good in the places we live and work, the communities our stores depend on.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Toyota brand experience preferred, not required.
  • Prior Service Manager or Service Director experience.
  • Familiarity with dealership management systems, Tekion experience a plus.
Required
  • Minimum 5 years of automotive service management experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
