Location: Phoenix, AZ

Schedule: Monday–Friday, with either a 5:30 AM–2:00 PM or 6:00 AM–2:30 PM schedule

Addison Group is hiring a Medical Receptionist on behalf of our client, a healthcare organization seeking a dependable and patient-focused professional to join their front office team. This is a high-volume medical environment where teamwork, organization, and strong communication skills are essential.

Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Medical Receptionist who is comfortable working in a busy healthcare setting and interacting with a high volume of patients each day. The ideal candidate will have prior medical front desk experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming and professional experience for patients.

This position will primarily focus on patient check-in and check-out, front desk support, patient documentation, insurance-related questions, and collecting payments. This role does not include appointment scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and organize patient charts and documentation prior to scheduled visits.
  • Welcome patients and efficiently complete the check-in and check-out process.
  • Answer incoming calls and assist patients with general questions.
  • Collect patient copays and other applicable payments with accuracy.
  • Explain basic insurance benefits and coverage information to patients.
  • Support a small front office team while helping maintain an efficient patient flow.
  • Handle a high daily patient volume while remaining organized and attentive to detail.
  • Work collaboratively with other front desk staff to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
  • Manage multiple front-office tasks in a fast-moving healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience handling medical records and patient documentation.
  • Familiarity with paper-based medical charts is preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-volume medical office environment.
  • Understanding of insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
