Job description

About the role
Step into a high-impact role where you'll keep advanced automation systems running at peak performance supporting critical packing and distribution operations in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, and the corrective repair of automated packing and distribution equipment.This job is part of the Material Handling job function.
What you'll do
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components - photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
  • Troubleshoot PLC programs including using ladder logic, components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet).
  • Maintain and trouble-shoot power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials up to 480V.
  • Create and close work orders to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system.
  • Develop work plan for emergency repair of critical assets to include coordinating with operations, locating parts/tools for repair, scheduling time with equipment, etc.
  • Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Impact the quality of own work.
  • Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
What you'll need
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience with Automated conveyor systems and controls, preventive maintenance procedures, Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs, National Electric Code (NEC).
  • Experience with blueprints and schematics; electrical and electronic principles, industrial electrical, controls, and work order management.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
  • Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
