Job description

FUNCTION:
Responsible for assisting casino guests with check cashing, monetary exchanges, and player's club services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Balance assigned bank and ensure reconciliation of money received and disbursed during assigned shift.

  1. Perform check cashing services, debit and credit card transactions and ATM transactions.
  2. Redeem coupons, play tickets, coins, chips, and tokens for cash, assist the slot department in paying out large jackpots.
  3. Compute accurate exchange rates for foreign currency and change to U.S. currency.
  4. Provide a positive guest service experience and advise guests regarding special events and facility information.
  5. Run check cashing software and input information in various databases as well as other programs.
  6. Provide point information to players club members.
  7. Participate in ongoing players club promotions, handing out cash, gifts, or other incentives.
  8. Follow gaming laws and regulations as well as organizational controls, policies, and procedures.
  9. Maintain accurate and thorough records and reports.
  10. Inform manager regarding guest disputes and unusual activity.
  11. Operate basic machinery such as jet sorters, bill counters and calculators.
  12. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  13. Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate.
  14. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  15. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  16. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  18. Regular predictable attendance is required.
  19. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Cage & Player Services Supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year cash handling, check cashing experience required. Previous casino cage, vault, credit, or players club experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Employee Gaming registration required.
Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
