Geotab is seeking a Manager, Sales who will coach, mentor, and lead the team focused on growing partner sales and work in conjunction with senior leadership to execute on the growth strategy for the assigned market. What you'll do:

As a Manager, Sales, your key area of responsibility will be coaching, mentoring, and leading the sales team while driving partner revenue, executing strategic growth plans, and delivering a best-in-class customer experience. You will need to work closely with cross-functional departments, senior leadership, Partner Account Managers, Regional Sales representatives, Partners, and customers.

To be successful in this role you will be a diplomatic leader with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, analytical, and communication skills, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset comfortable operating in a flat organization. In addition, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing new sales, accurate forecasting, technical aptitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Hire, train, lead, and mentor a team of Partner Account Managers. Establish KPAs, conduct performance evaluations, oversee career development, and manage all HR-related activities for direct reports.
  • Coach and develop the team to win and expand partner business using targeted engagement tactics-including in-person meetings, lunch-and-learns, webinars, joint customer calls, cold-calling, and social/direct networking.
  • Manage partner and territory assignments to maximize coverage. Monitor weekly team activity, track funnel growth, and ensure disciplined Salesforce tracking with accurate, timely forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to set sales goals, budgets, and short- or long-term strategic business plans aligned with Geotab's global initiatives.
  • Drive brand equity, credibility, and mind share by speaking/attending trade shows and actively sharing industry and Geotab news across partner and customer networks.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on Geotab and marketplace products.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape, market trends, and business environment to deliver strategic input and direction to Marketing and Senior Leadership.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • 5 - 8 years of required previous experience in an individual contributor role in a Sales function.  
  • 3 - 5 years of required supervisory experience managing and developing employees. 
  • Ability to travel 25 - 30%. A passport is required.
  • Experience in the telematics industry is an asset.
  • Strong aptitude for understanding technical and business requirements.
  • Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts.
  • Able to anticipate and understand customer's needs and provide viable solutions.
  • Exceptional skills in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in accurately forecasting account and volume activities, meeting and exceeding goals.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.
