Job description

Radiation Therapist
Location: Chillicothe, OH - Radiation Oncology | Full-Time, 100% | Day shift

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join our compassionate oncology care team. If you're passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and want to work in a collaborative environment where your skills and expertise are valued, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

  • Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments, ensuring precision and patient safety every step of the way.
  • Perform CT simulations and gather essential data for treatment planning.
  • Monitor and support patients during treatment, watching for reactions or unusual events and taking appropriate action.
  • Maintain the highest standards of radiation safety for patients, staff, and yourself.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, leadership, and peers on treatment plans, departmental policies, and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in weekly chart rounds and conduct detailed patient chart checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Educate patients on what to expect during their treatment, providing compassionate and clear communication throughout their care journey.

What You Bring:

  • Associate of Applied Science degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
  • Valid Ohio Department of Health License.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of dosimetry, treatment planning, and patient chart management.
  • A patient-centered mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
