Reports to: Community Foundation Director

We provide stewardship, support, and philanthropic services to faith-filled individuals, families, and organizations seeking to make a positive impact through charitable giving. Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Charitable Giving Advisor to join our team. As a Charitable Giving Advisor, you will play a critical role in helping individuals and families achieve their philanthropic goals and maximize the impact of their charitable giving within the context of our Catholic community. You will work closely with donors to provide guidance, create personalized giving plans, and promote the values of stewardship and generosity.

Job Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors.
    • Conduct in-depth conversations to understand donor values, goals, and philanthropic interests.
    • Collaborate with donors to develop customized charitable giving plans that align with their values and financial objectives.
    • Provide expertise on tax-efficient giving strategies, including donor-advised funds, endowments, and planned giving.
    • Work with Catholic Parishes, Schools, Programs and Ministries to develop and manage planned giving and major gift programs.
    • Work closely with the foundation's leadership team, including the Executive Director and Board of Directors, to advance the mission and vision of the organization.
    • Collaborate with professional advisors, such as attorneys and financial planners, to facilitate charitable giving solutions for donors.
    • Develop and deliver educational materials and presentations on charitable giving topics for donors, Catholic organizations, and the community.
    • Coordinate and participate in seminars focused on estate, financial, and philanthropic planning.
    • Represent the foundation at community events and networking opportunities.
    • Implement stewardship programs to recognize and celebrate donors' generosity.
    • Coordinate donor recognition events and activities.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in charitable giving, fundraising, or financial planning.
  • Understanding of tax laws related to charitable giving.
  • Must be a practicing Catholic, with understanding of the Catholic faith and Catholic philanthropic principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Must pass Level II Background screening.
