Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Makeup Artist to join our Fright Fest Entertainment Team, where creativity meets the thrill of the terrifying! The ideal candidate will possess a passion for crafting spooky and realistic makeup looks that bring characters to life, enhancing the immersive experience for our guests. You should be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and detail. If you have a flair for the dramatic, an eye for the gruesome, and a love for all things spooky, we want to hear from you! Join us in transforming our performers into unforgettable figures of fright and help set the stage for a chillingly spectacular event.What You Will Be DoingCreate and design characters through make-up application and face painting.Utilize prosthetics, traditional, Special FX, and air brush techniques to apply make-up to performers.Apply touch-up make-up and effects, both in the field and dressing room throughout the night, for actors/performers.Create and apply unique character designs to performers/actors.Must be willing to face paint for special events as needed.Maintain highest standards of safety.Be a reliable member of a team.Maintain professional standards in accordance with all Six Flags policies and procedures.Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists.Perform other duties as assigned.How You Will Do ItWork is performed primarily outdoors in all weather conditions. Lighting is both natural and artificial.Equipment used includes radios, airbrushes, air compressor, other various makeup tools and products including latex, and cleaning tools.Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, carrying.Days and hours will vary and will include weekends, evenings and holidays.Position will require close contact with Park Guests.What You Will NeedMust be at least 18 years of age.Must be willing and able to work closely with other employees.Must be comfortable working in dim lighting, confined spaces, and around large groups of people.Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong time management skills and motivated to thrive under pressure.Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.Should be a self-starter and able to take direction.Other duties as directed.Pay Rate: $18-20/hr
