Somnia Anesthesia | Coastal Ventura County Location | $2,000/day + | Join our growing team at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA
Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned, clinician-led anesthesia group, is seeking Per Diem Anesthesiologists to join our growing team at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA. Competitive salary and benefits package! New graduates are welcome!
Compensation & Benefits
  • Per diem rate: $2000/day
  • Additional stipends and hourly pay for call duty (not required, but encouraged)
    • Stipends range from upto $4800 depending on call taken

Practice Environment:
  • John's Regional Medical Center | Oxnard, CA
  • Most days scheduled:
    • St. John's Regional: 6 ORs running, IR, ENDO, Cath Lab/Cardiac
      • 8 ORs + 2 OBs | 8,036 cases/year | general, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient | hearts, heads, neuro, occasional healthy peds |+ OB
    • Dignity St. John Camarillo: (No OB, no cardiac) 2 OR running, Cath Lab
      • 3 ORs + 1 Cath lab | General, ortho, urology, GYN, vascular, GI, outpatient, occasional healthy peds |+ OB
  • 1,495 births/year | 1,041 cases with anesthesia involvement - Covered by separate OB anesthesia team
  • Weekend: Call coverage only
  • Cardiac call, open hearts, and structural heart cases staffed by cardiac anesthesia physicians
  • Variety of shifts: 8s/10s/12s; flexible scheduling
  • Typical day when not on call is scheduled 7 am to 5 pm
  • All call from home once cases are completed
  • OB Call taken by a separate provider, no OB call requirement MDs work their own cases with collaborative approach to CRNA's
  • CRNAs do their own cases.

Qualifications:
  • Current CA license
  • Cardiac fellowship
  • BC required
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS
