Job description

OVERVIEW

General Mills is on a mission to be the Undisputed Leader in Food, and we are investing in the capabilities and ways of working that will help us grow for the future. Our transformation agenda spans initiatives that modernize how we operate, how we serve consumers, and how we enable our teams, so that change is not only delivered, but adopted and sustained.

General Mill’s Change Management Center of Excellence (CoE) builds sustainable change capability across the organization, enabling successful transformation today while strengthening change agility for tomorrow. The Change CoE sets enterprise standards for change, builds tools and reusable assets, and provides visibility into change efforts so leaders can make informed decisions, and teams can navigate change with clarity and confidence.

As a Change CoE Manager, you will help shape how General Mills delivers change at scale. You will support high-impact transformation initiatives, partnering with change leaders and key stakeholders to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to complex change. You will help translate transformation goals into practical change approaches that drive adoption and measurable outcomes, while contributing to enterprise assets and practices that make change more consistent over time. This role offers high visibility and meaningful impact, with opportunities to shape how priority initiatives are adopted across the organization and to strengthen the overall change experience for teams.

What You Will Do

  • Lead priority transformation initiatives by helping develop and execute change approaches, translating business needs into clear change objectives, plans, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Change Leads and stakeholders to understand impacts, align on priorities, and coordinate change activities across teams.
  • Enable visibility and decision-making by supporting measurement, reporting, and governance routines, helping leaders understand what is changing, where support is needed, and what is working.
  • Build reusable CoE assets, including playbooks, templates, and tools, that help teams deliver change more consistently and efficiently across the enterprise.
  • Strengthen change capability by supporting learning journeys, learning series, and communities of practice that help teams adopt new ways of working.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and translating insights into updated assets, recommendations, and improved ways of working.
  • Identify patterns and themes across the change portfolio, elevating enterprise risks, opportunities, and best practices to inform leadership decisions and improve overall change effectiveness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in change management, business, communications, human resources, organizational psychology, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience supporting and delivering change management work on transformation initiatives.
  • Experience shaping and developing strategies and core change management deliverables, such as stakeholder assessments, change impact and readiness inputs, change plans, communications support, and adoption or reinforcement activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization to gather inputs, align on priorities, and support execution of change activities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, executive-ready recommendations and updates.
  • Strong organizational and program management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail and drive follow-through across stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years’ experience delivering change management work on large-scale, enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives, including complex stakeholder environments
  • Consulting experience in change management, transformation, and/or program delivery, with demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting change intake, prioritization, and/or tiering processes, including maintaining intake artifacts and supporting governance decision-making.
  • Experience facilitating working sessions, training, and/or coaching conversations with stakeholder groups, for example change upskilling, communities of practice, or targeted support to address adoption risks on initiatives.
  • Experience developing communications and engagement materials for diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience advising leaders on change strategy, approaches, adoption risks and trade offs.
  • Experience building or maintaining reusable assets, such as playbooks, templates, and tools to scale change practices.
  • Experience facilitating communities of practice, capability-building experiences, knowledge sharing, or continuous improvement activities, including retrospectives and incorporating lessons learned.
  • Preferred experience
  • Change management certification, education, or formal training (e.g., Prosci).

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered
  • Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. General Mills will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas
