Job description


Sets the enterprise strategic direction for internal communications and change management, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and culture and long term business objectives. Influences culture, drives transformation, and ensures employees are informed, inspired, and equipped to adapt to change. Leads the internal communication and change management functions, setting direction, managing resources, and mentoring team members. Responsible for crisis communication planning, change communication strategies, and executive visibility programs. Has specialized skill set and proficiency with procedures and analysis techniques. Generally, reports to AVP or other functional executive. *Restricted Use / Additional Review Required. Designated for restricted use due to its highly specialized and critical scope; it is intended for limited deployment across the organization and only where business need is clearly established.
Responsibilities
  • Define and lead communications and change strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Advise executive leadership on communication and change management best practices and messaging.
  • Establish KPIs for communication and change effectiveness.
  • Lead enterprise-wide change, transformation communication initiatives.
  • Oversee communication governance, tools, and platforms.
  • Manage budgets, vendors, and cross-functional communication teams.
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and stretch assignments to build technical and leadership bench strength.
  • Champion a culture of continuous change readiness and support change management initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Organization Development, Business, or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
  • College/University degree and 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, change management, organizational effectiveness, or a related field, including 8+ years of people leadership experience; or equivalent experience as a recognized subject matter expert leading enterprise-wide communications and change initiatives.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving cultural alignment.
  • Expertise in developing communication and change management strategies that encompass governance, quality, and accessibility to drive change management initiatives.
  • Advanced understanding of communication and change management metrics, tools, and technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership, storytelling, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage diverse teams, fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Exceptional ability to present complex analytical findings to senior executives and key stakeholders in a clear and impactful way.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and assess long-term strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities to address complex business challenges.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with executives, stakeholders, and teams.
  • Expertise in leading teams through organizational change while maintaining productivity, morale, and employee engagement.
  • Ability to make informed, timely decisions that consider short- and long-term impacts on the organization.
