CHANEL is seeking a Senior Paralegal to join our Legal team in New York. This role plays a critical part in supporting a broad range of corporate legal functions, including litigation, employment, commercial matters, and compliance. You will serve as a trusted partner to attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders, driving organization, efficiency, and operational excellence across legal processes. The ideal candidate brings strong legal acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while embracing innovative tools, including artificial intelligence.
What impact you can create at CHANEL:
Support the Legal team across litigation, employment, regulatory, and commercial matters, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Drive efficient case management, including tracking workflows, timelines, and key deliverables across multiple matters. Partner with outside counsel to support legal team, including organizing files, gathering documents and coordinating interviews. Strengthen risk mitigation efforts by supporting investigations, monitoring regulations, and legal monitoring processes. Build and maintain a centralized, user-friendly database for tracking U.S. legal and regulatory developments Ensure proper handling of litigation holds, document preservation, and records management protocols. Track budget and legal spend.

What you will bring to the team:
7+ years of paralegal experience in a dynamic environment with exposure to multiple areas of law. Strong understanding of legal workflows and case management. Experience supporting discovery, litigation holds, and investigations. Ability to manage competing priorities independently while maintaining high-quality work. Excellent communication skills. Demonstrated judgment and discretion. Experience with legal and business systems such as iManage, Coupa, and Microsoft tools, as well as with tracking legislation, budgeting/spend and maintaining legal databases. Agility in adopting AI-enabled tools.
Position Logistics:
Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at the NYC office.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $87,500 through $120,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.
