Hematology/Oncology Physician 

Beverly & Addison Gilbert Hospitals 

Beth Israel Lahey Health 

  • Locations: Beverly, MA & Gloucester, MA (North Shore) 

  • Type: Full-Time Position 

Opportunity Summary 

Beverly & Addison Gilbert Hospitals (members of Beth Israel Lahey Health) are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist to join their accredited cancer program. Successful candidates must be board eligible and complete board certification within five (5) years of graduation from residency program. 

The successful candidate will be based at both Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital. 

Key Responsibilities & Program Highlights 

You will become a member of the Beth Israel Lahey Health, a large system with over 5,500 new analytic cancer cases annually

  • Multidisciplinary Teams: Join system-wide teams (Breast, General Tumor Board, Thoracic, Dermatology) that include surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists, with access to BIDMC and Lahey Cancer Institute Tumor Boards on a case-by-case basis. 

  • Focus Areas: These teams address clinical standardization, research agendas, quality metrics, and outcomes reporting. 

  • Accreditations: The program is accredited as a Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer (CoC), and the breast program is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). 

Research & Academic Engagement 

The LHCI maintains a vibrant clinical research program with ample opportunity for collaboration. 

  • Clinical Research: Main member in SWOG and NRG

  • Programs: Robust Translational Research Program and Clinical Effectiveness Research Institute. 

  • Academic Appointment: Opportunity for an academic appointment with Tufts University School of Medicine (commensurate with achievement) and UMASS Chan School outside of clinic time.

  • Beverly Hospital is A 317-bed tertiary care facility, outpatient clinic, and Level I trauma center. A physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of over 500 physicians with several accredited residency and fellowship programs.  

  • Addison Gilbert Hospital is a 79 bed medical acute facility located in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Specialties include acute adult inpatient care, cancer care, cardiology, pulmonary, geriatric services, endocrinology, primary care, wound care and emergency medicine.

Pay Range:

$400,000.00 USD - $425,000.00 USD

The pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation may be determined based on several factors, that may include education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geography of work location, productivity, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include productivity and quality bonuses.
