Description

The Recruiting Assistant will support the Talent Lead in all aspects of the caregiver recruitment and onboarding process. This role is responsible for assisting with sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, orientation, compliance, and caregiver engagement. The Recruiting Assistant will play a key role in ensuring that credentialing and employment documents (I-9, W-4, certifications, background checks, etc.) are collected and completed accurately in collaboration with HR.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing candidates through online platforms, referrals, and recruiting events
  • Screen applicants and schedule interviews for the Talent Lead
  • Conduct initial phone screens as needed and support in-person interviews
  • Prepare and distribute onboarding and orientation materials for new hires
  • Collect, review, and verify employment and compliance documents (I-9, W-4, certifications, background checks)
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
  • Support caregiver orientation and training, ensuring a smooth transition into the agency
  • Communicate with candidates to clarify documentation requirements and timelines
  • Partner with HR to ensure compliance with credentialing and onboarding requirements
  • Help coordinate and participate in recruiting and caregiver recruiting, learning and development, and appreciation events
  • Maintain strong, positive relationships with caregivers to support retention
  • Provide administrative support to the Talent and HR teams as needed


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or office administration (healthcare experience preferred)
  • Strong computer skills with business applications (Google Workspace, DocuSign, WellSky, and Guardian.)
  • Knowledge of employment compliance practices, including I-9, W-4, and credentialing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal) with diverse populations
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
  • Professional appearance and ability to promote a positive work environment
