Chairside Dental Assistant – New York, NY

Location: New York, NY 10065

Pay Rate: $23/hr to $25/hr

Schedule: Day Shift – 5x8s

Assignment Length: 9 Weeks with Possible Extension

Shift Details

  • Typically 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Includes a 1-hour break
  • Possible alternate schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chairside Dental Assistant to join a leading healthcare facility in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have prior chairside assisting experience, strong patient care skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced dental environment serving both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during chairside procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments
  • Maintain sterilization and infection control standards
  • Take and process dental X-rays
  • Support patient care and comfort during procedures
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in Epic
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are stocked and organized

Requirements

  • Completion of a Certified Dental Assisting Program
  • Minimum 1 year of Chairside Dental Assistant experience
  • Active NY Dental Assistant license required at submission
  • BLS Certification (AHA only)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Epic experience preferred
  • COVID vaccination required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with pediatric and adult patients
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures
