Chain Link Fence & Supply, Inc. has been family owned and operated since 1996. We are afull-service fencing contractor specializing in chain link and ornamental fencing and gateinstallations or repairs for commercial / industrial and public works applications. We are amember of the American Fence Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, IBEW 1245,Gold Shovel, and ISN. We employ ~35 people.


We are looking for a professional and reliable salesperson. This individual will meet withcustomers, understand what they need and help them with an effective solution fromestimation (evaluating job sites) through bidding and proposals. This role is ideal for someonewho has worked in construction (foreman, lead installer, superintendent, estimator, or similar)and can confidently translate technical scope, materials, and timelines into clear,customer-friendly proposals. This person will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, closing saleswith credibility built on real-world construction knowledge. Our ideal candidate can workautonomously, is flexible and has the ability to negotiate contracts effectively. The job can bedemanding as it requires management of multiple customers in a timely manner.


Responsibilities:

● Estimate and bid accordingly. Review proposal specifications, drawings and attend jobwalks, pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine the scope of work and required contents ofestimate.

● Respond and manage multiple incoming calls daily.

● Execute all other sales related activities (including change orders), as needed.

● Actively engage in business development and enhance customer relations, includingkey accounts, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services always.

● Develop and maintain vendor relationships.

● Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote our leading imagein the field.

● Work with other personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to thedelivery and beyond (including scheduling of jobs).

● Work with office personnel to accurately bill ongoing/completed jobs.

● Attend weekly sales meetings.

● Research and source new leads and convert to jobs, as requested.

● Meet or exceed sales expectations on a consistent basis.


Requirements:

● High school degree or equivalent.

● Prior outside sales/construction estimating experience.

● Hands-on field/fence experience.

● Basic computer/technology skills.

● Honest, hard-working, enthusiastic and self-motivated.

● Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

● Business development experience with excellent relationship and rapport buildingabilities.

● Works independently and manages time well.

● Strong attention to detail.

● Good basic math skills and ability to make accurate judgments and calculations.

● Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree (construction management or related field).

● Knowledgeable about and experienced with local construction markets.

● Estimator experience in the construction industry is a plus.

● Ability to read blueprints.


Work Hours and Benefits:

● Full-time (~40 hours/week, M-F), permanent position in Livermore, California.
