Job description

COMMERCIAL INSTALLER

The Commercial Installers are vital to a successful commercial relocation. They are responsible for the safe operation and timely installation and/or tear downs of modular furniture (office/cubicle furniture) on office relocations. This also includes duties such as packing up, loading, staging, and unloading modular furniture for safe relocation.

Position Responsibilities

  •  Operate all hand tools in a safe and professional manner
  •  Uphold a positive attitude, be a model of professionalism, and observe all applicable company policies.
  •  Maintain clear communication with the operations team – notifying dispatch of any additional job assignments/instructions, unexpected delays, or equipment left on the job site, etc.
  •  Planning, staging, and setup workstations according to blueprints/layout plans.
  • Actively assist moving crew with all project related tasks – moving, pushing, carrying, etc.

Qualifications

  •  Must be able to lift 50 pounds with a team
  •  Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  •  Need to have a flexible schedule – work during normal working hours as well as occasional evenings, weekends, and out of town work.
  •  Adherent to CH Coakleys drug and alcohol policy upon hire and throughout employment.
  •  High school diploma, or GED equivalent.
  •  Prior industry related experience preferred but not required.
  •  Must have knowledge of hand tools
  •  Knowledge of blueprint reading is a plus
  •  Must own and maintain tools in proper safe working order.

  • Allen headset (hex key set)
  • Flat head screwdriver
  • Claw Hammer
  • Set of open-end wrenches that include ¼, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, ½, 9/16, 5/8, and at least one set of extension
  • Pliers
  • Utility Knife and spare blades
  • Tape measure – 25 ft min.
  • Pry bar
  • Torpedo Level – magnetic preferred
  • Heads, socket adaptor or nut driver, torx bits (star shape) and square bit heads
  • Vise grips
  • Cordless drill, spare battery, and charger
  • Drill bits ¼, and 1/8 inch sizes
