Job description

A CFA Shift Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embodies the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, solid character, take initiative and work with a strong sense of urgency at all times. Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of our mission. A Shift Leader's two main areas of focus are 1) making sure each Team Member is fully equipped to execute their position on a daily basis, 2) planning for, delegating & ensuring everything is ready to execute outstanding hospitality & great food. Shift Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others follow.

Position Type:

  • Full-time and Part-time
  • Availability: 35-40 hours/week
  • Must be able to Open the restaurant 3 days and Close the restaurant 3 days

Shift Leader Responsibilities:

  • Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
  • Offer immediate and respectful response to Guest's needs
  • Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
  • Be a friendly, encouraging team player
  • Open and/or close, lead shifts, key holder
  • Count drawers and finalize day
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Commitment to execute organization's mission & team goals
  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with focus, multitasking & detail-orientation
  • Prepare & utilize all available resources to run an efficient shift
  • Make Emotional Connections with Guests
  • Strong commitment to superior customer service
  • Strong people skills with a desire to serve & care for Team Members
  • Ability to hold Staff accountable to behavioral, performance issues & HR policy
  • Reliable transportation
  • At least 1 year of prior experience as a shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is required.
