The role often requires collaboration with other analysts, portfolio managers, and compliance professionals, providing exposure to various areas of the firm and opportunities for professional growth.

Job description

Founded in 1950, Lane Gorman Trubitt, LLC is a middle-market, regional public accounting firm located in the Uptown neighborhood of Dallas, TX. We are affiliated with PrimeGlobal, an association of independent accounting firms. Currently, LGT has around 140 employees working in various service lines including assurance/audit, tax, accounting and consulting services.

About the Role

LGT Financial Advisors is seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented, and investment-minded professional to support the portfolio management function of our growing financial advisory firm. This is an early-career role designed for someone who wants to build a meaningful career in portfolio management, analytics, and wealth advisory. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly organized, tech-forward, and motivated by the opportunity to help advisors and clients make optimized investment decisions.

This role is especially well-suited for a candidate who is interested in, currently pursuing, or planning to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. The position will play an important role in supporting investment performance reporting, portfolio data integrity, manager due diligence, alternative investment tracking, and ongoing portfolio management operations.

Why This Role Matters

LGT Financial Advisors manages over 575 client portfolios across a broad range of investment solutions, including traditional public market strategies, model portfolios, and customized portfolios with meaningful exposure to private investments. Because of the complex nature of portfolio construction, accurate data, timely reporting, organized records, and disciplined portfolio oversight are essential. This role helps ensure that the firm's portfolio management solutions run with clarity, consistency, and precision.

What You Will Do

The Associate Portfolio Analyst will support the firm's investment management process through a combination of data analytics, reporting, systems management, investment operations, and portfolio support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Portfolio data and performance reporting
  • Private investment tracking and pricing
  • Investment platform organization
  • Technology, systems, and process improvement
  • Team support and investment oversight

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is passionate about building a career in portfolio management and who understands that strong oversight begins with strong execution and due diligence. The ideal candidate is:

  • Team and client oriented, motivated to bring their best efforts each day
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable working with reports, systems, and recurring data processes
  • Tech-focused and interested in automation, workflow efficiency, and better use of systems
  • Confident in working independently while also supporting a collaborative advisory team
  • Interested in or currently pursuing the CFA designation
  • Strong portfolio construction and investment acumen

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, or a related field
  • Comfort working with investment data, spreadsheets, reports, and multiple systems
  • Ability to manage recurring tasks independently and consistently
  • Work in office at least three days per week

Preferred

  • Interest in, or active pursuit of, the CFA designation.
  • Experience with Black Diamond, Fidelity Wealthscape, Charles Schwab, CAIS, or similar investment platforms
  • Familiarity with basic asset classes such as public equity, fixed income, private equity, private credit, real assets, and alternative investments
