Job description

Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Maintenance (DOM) to lead our aircraft maintenance program and ensure the continued safety, reliability, and airworthiness of our fleet of De Havilland Twin Otter Vistaliner and Cessna Caravan aircraft.

Licenses and Certifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.
  • Must meet the qualifications outlined in 14 CFR Part 119.69.
Technical Skills
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations governing aircraft maintenance and Part 135 operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing aircraft maintenance teams and programs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities

The Director of Maintenance (DOM) is responsible for the overall administration and management of the Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines maintenance program, ensuring all company aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition and in full compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), company policies, and maintenance procedures.

Requirements and Experience

Candidates must satisfy one of the following:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the past six (6) years maintaining aircraft as a certificated mechanic, including experience maintaining the same category and class of aircraft operated by the certificate holder, including De Havilland Twin Otter Vistaliner and/or Cessna Caravan aircraft.
  • OR Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the past six (6) years repairing aircraft in a certificated airframe repair station, including at least one (1) year in a position approving aircraft for return to service.
