Job description


CES is looking for reliable, detail-oriented Law Enforcement/Peace Officers to assist Underage Purchasers in performing non-confrontational compliance checks for the FDA CTP Tobacco Compliance Inspection Program to ensure the sale of tobacco products to Underage Purchasers is restricted. The inspection is used to establish a retailer’s compliance with federal regulations. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexibility relevant to the individual’s schedule.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Travel with an Underage Purchaser; identify and verify site address provided
  • Facilitate and observe undercover buys in coordination with trained Underage Purchasers
  • Collect evidence of violations, such as photographs and tobacco products
  • Complete compliance check inspection forms, detailing any violations, when applicable
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Must be a current law enforcement official OR employed by the local, county, state government in a health/safety field.
  • Reliable transportation

  • Strict adherence to deadlines and privacy
Office Equipment:
  • Smartphone
  • Personal computer/laptop with high speed internet access
  • Ability to complete & scan PDF documents.
Other:
  • All Compliance Inspectors will complete a training session
