Microsoft Power Platform & Automation Architect Overview

Stellar is seeking aPower Platform &Automation Architect to lead multi-phase automation and modernization initiatives. This role will be responsible for architecting and delivering scalable solutions on the Microsoft Power Platformโ€”Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverseโ€”while integrating tightly with SAP Rise, Azure, and existing master data management workflows.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience designing and deploying Power Platform-based automation frameworks, complemented by working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA master data models and integration patterns. Youโ€™ll define architecture standards, build reusable automation components, guide sprint delivery teams, and ensure solutions meet enterprise-grade governance, performance, and security expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design and implementation of Power Platform solutions
  • Architect modular, reusable frameworks for SAP master data loads (materials, cost centers, accounts, etc.) with validation, approval, and security workflows.
  • Define end-to-end architecture including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Azure connectors, and data integration layers.
  • Oversee technical design documents (FDD, TDD, SDD) and ensure alignment with project objectives and Definition ofDone.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging frameworks for Power Platform applications.
Governance &Integration
  • Implement role-based access controls, audit trails, and compliance configurations to support business-user-owned workflows.
  • Ensure interoperability across Azure AD, SharePoint, and SAP environments via standard and custom connectors.
  • Design automation patterns supporting scalable deployment, security, and data governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on solution validation, testing, and change management.
  • Serve as technical lead for across-functional team of Power Platform engineers, data specialists, and integration developers.
  • Work closely with customer Product Owners to refine backlog items, define epics and user stories, and translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Mentor engineering resources on Power Platform best practices, SAP integration, and agile delivery.
  • Participate and lead in sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and architecture reviews.
Qualifications Required
  • 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with at 2years focused on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, PowerBI).
  • Proven track record designing enterprise-scale workflow and data integration solutions across Microsoft and SAP ecosystems.
  • Understanding of SAPECC or S/4HANA master data, validation rules, and common automation usecases.
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps, API Management, and SAP connectors/gateways.
  • Proficiency in agile delivery, backlog management, and iterative development using tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, security models, and change management in enterprise automation.
Preferred
  • Experience with Winshuttle migration projects or similar SAP data-automation modernization efforts.
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • SAP Certified Application Associate (S/4HANA) โ€“ or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for Power Platform, environment strategy, and ALM best practices.
