Position Summary 

The Teledata Project Manager manages telecommunications, low-voltage, and structured cabling infrastructure projects from initial conception through final project closeout. This role requires an active Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification from BICSI to ensure all voice, data, and fiber optic designs comply with current industry standards, local codes, and client specifications. 


Key Responsibilities 

● Project Planning & Design Review: Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and riser diagrams. Validate telecommunications spaces, pathways, and structured cabling designs against TIA/EIA, NEC, and IEEE standards. 

● Lifecycle Management: Direct day-to-day project workflows, keeping projects on schedule, within scope, and under budget. 

● Financial & Resource Management: Build project budgets, track labor and material costs, manage change orders, review RFIs, and process client billings. 

● Stakeholder Coordination: Lead coordination meetings with clients, general contractors, architects, IT staff, and field technicians. 

● Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce site safety policies and oversee system testing, inspection, and commissioning documentation. 


Qualifications & Requirements 

● Certifications: Active RCDD certification via BICSI is strictly required. (PMP or OSHA certifications are a plus). 

● Experience: 

○ Minimum of 5–8+ years of hands-on project management experience in telecommunications, low-voltage construction, or structured cabling. 

○ Deep technical knowledge of copper and fiber optic systems, pathways, and data center environments. 

● Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Microsoft Project/Smartsheet, and familiarity with CAD tools or blueprint software. 

● Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, conflict resolution, and written/verbal communication abilities.


Compensation: Commensurate with experience
