About US:

Magretech is a magnesium recycler based in Bellevue, Ohio that services the die casting, aluminum, sand casting, and aerospace industry. The company supplies secondary magnesium ingot while also providing tolling and chip recycling services. Our products are completely made of scrap.


Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead Engineer – Casting Process with 3-5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing operations involving light metals’ high pressure die casting. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with Tier 1 suppliers, preferably within the automotive sectors. The role involves overseeing casting process development and providing operational leadership to ensure production efficiency, high quality, and continuous improvement.

The role is based in PSW Group’s Magretech facility at Bellevue OH, reporting directly to Magretech’s plant manager and PSW Group’s head of products. This job is Ideal for an engineering background professional in the HPDC industry seeking a leadership role in a state-of-the-art manufacturing and technology development center. 


Job Type: Full-time

Paid Weekly

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift 8am-4pm
  • Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead process development efforts in the manufacturing of light metal components, with a focus on optimizing production processes.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, R&D, and manufacturing to implement new processes and technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to customers on technical and operational matters.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to management and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor and lead operational teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Deep understanding of metal solidification and metal die casting processes.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in high pressure die casting operations with a focus on light metals, preferably in the Tier 1 supplier or automotive industry.
  • Proven experience in die-tooling design and optimization.
  • Proven experience in process development and optimization within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Leadership experience in a production environment.
  • Prior experience in technical support, including troubleshooting and optimizing production processes.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
