As part of the Project Management Chapter, the Global Project Manager (GPM) plays a key role in optimized product delivery, accountable for all project management aspects of various projects from simple to complex in nature. Drives the project/product from the original concept through completion by developing and directing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, spending, resource plans, and status reports. As a trusted advisor, the GPM translates and drives projects into products and enables the organization to use energy and time effectively and efficiently while quickly responding to changing business needs across the portfolio.
The Opportunity
  • Delivery & Planning: Own end-to-end project delivery including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and progress tracking. Create integrated plans with clear dependencies and resource allocation.
  • Methodology & Execution: Select and apply appropriate methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or traditional). Execute project processes, manage milestone reviews, and implement best practices across teams.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Lead meetings, facilitate knowledge sharing, build team dynamics, and coach team members. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Portfolio, Functions) to optimize delivery.
  • Performance & Insights: Establish KPIs/OKRs, measure progress, and report results. Serve as a central data hub providing holistic planning insights, scenario analysis, and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Risk & Problem-Solving: Identify risks and bottlenecks, analyze implications (budget/timeline/scope), challenge assumptions, propose solutions, and communicate issues proactively to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead improvement initiatives and develop team capabilities through feedback and skill-building.

Who You Are:
(Required)
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree BS/BA (from an accredited institution) in engineering related fields
  • You have 5+ years project management experience in hardware product development and product care projects and understand hardware development lifecycle (concept to commercialization) and instrument design, prototyping and manufacturing processes
  • You have demonstrated experience with Agile development practices and mindset
  • You have 1+ years of experience in a regulated industry (e.g. FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001)
  • You have demonstrated strong problem solving & conflict management skills with the ability to synthesize information to identify relevant insights that will advise improvement opportunities
  • You have demonstrated interpersonal and influencing skills with an established ability to drive decisions in relation to project execution and resource needs; you have demonstrated ability to identify, facilitate and effectively communicate issues proactively to a wide range of stakeholders, enabling effective cross-functional collaboration
  • You are proficient and have demonstrated experience using Planisware, MS-Office, G-Suite and "know-how" of project management tools such as Trello, LucidChart, Smartsheet, Jira, ADO, etc.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to manage complex projects with ambitious milestones.
  • You have demonstrated good strategic and tactical thinking
  • You are able to transfer knowledge across projects, programs or Lifecycles.
  • You have profound understanding and knowledge of relevant Design Control and/or Phased Development processes.
  • You have a solid understanding and knowledge of healthcare quality, risk, and/or regulatory compliance

Preferred Experience:
  • You hold a Master's degree (from an accredited institution) in engineering related fields
  • You have 6+ years project management experience in diagnostics and medical device hardware product development
  • You have Leading SAFE, Safe for HW or equivalent Scaled Agile certifications
  • You have a PMP Certification
  • You have experience collaborating with external partners on R&D development projects

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $87,900-163,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
