Overview

Job Summary:

Provide project planning, tracking, and administrative support for one or more projects or a program. Work under the general direction of a Program Manager or more senior Project Manager.  He or she may also perform as an individual contributor on the project in his or her area of expertise.  The position requires a strong degree of coordination and communication between the individual and the project team members including vendors.  The individual is required to interact with strong multidisciplinary team members in a dynamic and energetic workplace. Regularly interface with all levels of the organization from technician through management.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Project Leadership: 
    • Supports a project team in the development of the various project deliverables
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: 
    • Participates in the tracking of project activities.  Supports various disciplines in the creation of plans, estimates, and schedules. When working directly for the Project Manager, collects project planning inputs from other core team members and maintains project planning records.  Participates in planning of project activities across the various project team members.
  • Project Execution and Control: 
    • Participates in the creation of and tracks project status reports based upon inputs from the project team members.  Helps with tracking of project activities that are accomplished by the disciplines they are supporting.  Supports the various disciplines in the tracking of open issues and risk triggers. 
  • Agile Project Management (if applicable):
    • Integrates timing of Sprints and key deliverables of Agile projects into the overall project plan.
  • Problem Solving: 
    • Participates in, and tracks, project problem-solving activities including maintaining an action log. 
  • Risk Management: 
    • Participates in the identification and analysis of project risk items and their respective mitigation plans.  Supports the tracking of risk triggers.
  • Design Control:
    • Supports project team in assuring compliance with design control.
  • Communication: 
    • Supports communication of plans and status to ensure coordination within the project team.  Provides support for the development and completion of project documentation. 

Secondary Functions:

  • Project/Program Initiatives: 
    • Participates in activities focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the product development processes and procedures.

Networking/Key Relationships

To be determined based on department needs, to include interactions such as:

  • Coordination of review of documentation with Quality and Regulatory disciplines
  • Communication of product changes with Manufacturing/Operations disciplines
Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • BS in STEM is desirable
  • Experience in product development desired

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Must have a demonstrated interest in product development
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, willing to take initiative
  • Interested in a variety of tasks
  • Demonstrate efficient and effective time management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Word, Excel

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10% of the time. 

The annual base salary range for this role is currently $65K to $85K range. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.

This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan retirement benefits with an employer match, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
