Job description

SUMMARY:

Project Manager is responsible for managing the planning, execution and deliverables of a construction project from start to finish that produces on time, within budget and exceptional quality standards results for client that builds repeat and new business opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

·   Accountable for a safe and healthy site work environment by upholding compliance with all safety policies, practices, and procedures and addressing unsafe activities immediately.

·   Responsible for overseeing and directing all activities in relation to contract administration, change orders, schedules, reporting and securing necessary regulatory requirements such as but not limited to permits.

·   Accountable to ensure all submittals required are received and approved in a timely manner, as necessary.

·   Review design phase documents during the design phase of a project to properly advise on potential changes that may arise within that particular project phase. 

·   Accountable for leading project meetings to ensure coordination of all activities are aligned properly in meeting deadlines and maintain budget expectations.

·   Develop, maintain and grow trusted relationships with clients, owners, architects, subcontractors, internal team and any other stakeholder by producing exceptional results through forecasting roadblocks and applying quality techniques that deliver the desired needs and goals. 

·   Prepare and submit project status reports that outline focused priorities, roadblocks, concerns and opportunities.

·   Responsible for leading project close-out and inspection phases that include activities such as but not limited to warranty and manual transfers, final payment preparation documents for subcontractors.

·   Collaborate with the internal team on new work opportunities and decisions by participating in the proposals and presentation process.

·   Accountable for demonstrating behavioral expectations that reinforces our philosophy of “Together, We build on trust” through work performance that exhibits integrity, work ethics and adherence to company policies and procedures.

·   Responsible for performing other duties and tasks as assigned and/or directed.

SUPERVISION:

·   Accountable for directly managing, training and developing the performance and expectations of project management team, partnering with leadership and human to ensure actively recruit and retain industry talent.

·   Reinforcing our philosophy of “Together, We build on Trust.” by providing the necessary tools, resources and opportunities to individuals so that performance and behavioral expectations are satisfactorily met and achieved.  

·   Execute consistent employee feedback by following set policies and procedures along with identifying opportunities for advancement, training, and development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·     Education / Experience

o  Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field with a minimum of  two (2) years working in the construction industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

o  Advanced Project Manager Certification (APMC) and/or Certified Project Manager (CPM) certification, preferred.

o  Managing construction projects at $1M- 25M from start to finish, required.

o  Assigned to multiple construction projects, required.

o  Working with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Civil, as required.

o  Leading, developing and producing experiences talent, required.

·     Knowledge

o  Proficient usage of all Microsoft applications, required.

o  Capability to complete project contract documentation, construction software and cost estimating, required.

o  Familiar with the strategy, operation and financial desired results of a construction project, required.

·     Skills / Abilities

·     Position Specific Requirements

o  Clean, valid driver’s license.

o  OSHA certification upon hire or able to obtain.

The salary range is based upon the respective level and equitable pay are determined on factors such as but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, ability, experience, education, training, development, supervision, and location.
