Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care
Position Overview
The Long Term Care CNA focuses on continuous, resident-centered care in skilled nursing facilities or extended care environments. You provide daily living support, monitoring, and companionship to residents with chronic conditions.
You work closely with nursing staff to maintain comfort, safety, and adherence to individualized care plans while documenting routine observations.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living and mobility for residents.
  • Monitor and document vitals, intake/output, and changes in condition.
  • Support with medication administration under supervision and with order verification as required by facility policies.
  • Assist with routine procedures and setup for therapies and activities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents.
  • Document care provided and report changes promptly to the care team.
  • Support residents' emotional well-being and provide basic education to residents and families.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED plus completion of a state-approved CNA program with competency evaluation.
Licensure:
Current state CNA certification in good standing; CPR/BLS certification.
