Description
ELIGIBLE FOR $1000 SIGN-ON BONUS
The Certified Medical Office Assistant is responsible for assisting in the direct delivery of primary health care support and patient care management under the direction and supervision of the Physician. Duties will include assisting the physician in the implementation of nursing care as directed, all aspects of the medical office, and may include responsibilities in the front office and clinical areas. Has full access to patient health information.
Schedule: M-F 8a-5p
Location: The Certified Medical Assistant Float will travel between all of the Iredell Physician Network clinics based on a schedule.
Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Must be a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of the medical practice and medical care including examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures; equipment and instruments; safety hazards, and precautions. Training in venipuncture and the ability to perform venipuncture accurately preferred.
  • Clerical experience including, but not limited to, scheduling, payments, billing/coding, medical records, and a working knowledge of all aspects of medical office equipment. Excellent computer skills including knowledge of business software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to pay close attention to details, multi-task, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Current CPR certification or willing to complete within 30 days of hire.

Physical Demands:
  • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
