Job description


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follows all company policies as outlined in the employee handbook and the "General Policies and Procedures" section of the Host Training Manual.
Maintains a positive attendance record by reporting to work for assigned shifts 10 minutes prior to scheduled time.
Follows all sanitation and safety standards set forth by the company.
Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the employee handbook and Host Training Manual.
Maintains our guest service philosophy by following guest service standards
Knows all menu items offered at the restaurant. Accurately explains specials to guest. If asked, accurately answers menu items in regard to preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items accompanying the dish. If asked, specifies substitutions for items on menu.
Observes table numbering procedures and works assigned section 100% of the time.
Conducts a first greet with guests within 30 seconds of guests entering the restaurant.
Performs menu merchandising procedures accurately by listing and explaining the specials, suggesting items, and upselling when appropriate.
Legibly completes phone-in or take-out guest checks and accurately enters orders into POS system following company procedures.
Picks up orders and completes take-out preparation correctly as specified by take-out procedures.
Performs side work duties correctly as specified in the "Side Work Duties" section of the Host Training Manual.
Follows all end-of-shift checkout procedures.
Follows the alcohol serving procedures in regard to beverage service standards, awareness standards, and government regulations with 100% accuracy.
Busses, sets, and resets tables following company procedures within 3 minutes of guests leaving their tables
Maintains a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need and/or when available.
Maintains a waitlist when immediate seating is limited
Communicates reservations for large parties to management and kitchen staff to ensure readiness 100% of time.
Accommodates special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
Upon seating, offers guests menus and informs them of their server names 100% of the time.

JOB PREREQUISITES:
Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.

EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE: Previous customer service in a restaurant environment

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up 20 pounds repeatedly throughout shift. Must be efficient and accurate with money and figures. Must possess manual ability to manipulate register system and handle/serve food

WORK ENVIRONMENT: We maintain an alcohol/drug-free workplace. Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform in casino operations containing smoke and second-hand smoke with high noise level and bright lights. Must be able and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to work in fast paced environment and problem-solving ability. Must be able to work independently
Job Summary: Greet guests in a courteous, helpful, and prompt manner. Responsible for running the host station, including seating guests, maintaining the floor chart, fairly distributing guests among server sections, maintaining the waitlist, taking reservations and phone orders, bussing and resetting tables, and monitoring table rotation.
