Job description

Job Summary: The role of the Associate IT Project Manager is to assist a Project Manager in the planning, execution, and finalizing of a project according to set objectives and timelines. The Associate Project Manager functions under the supervision of the Director of the IT PMO and/or designated. Project Manager. Responsibilities include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and potentially third-party vendors to deliver projects according to plan. The Associate IT Project Manager must be a great communicator, tactful, diplomatic, problem solver, thinker, analyzer, and possess the ability to understand and respond to client's needs in a rapidly changing business environments.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Care Sciences or equivalent 3-5 years' experience in related field. Knowledge of PMI Methodology and PMBOK required. CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification required with 3,500 hours leading and directing projects, 35 hours of project management education, Experience in Information Technology environment preferred.
Required Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills: (1) Strong problem solving skills and a collaborative approach to meeting clients' needs; (2) Highly self-motivated and self-directed; (3) Ability to execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with scheduled deadlines; (4) Analytical skills with the ability to develop solutions derived from researching documentation; and (5) Proficient in MS-Office and project management applications. Special Knowledge: Experience in Agile teams and ITIL / ITSM certifications are preferred.
