Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:


The Supervisor Project Management is responsible for the day-to-day execution and oversight of field service project management activities at client sites and industrial facilities. This role is a hands-on, field-based position that requires active involvement in project execution, including industrial cleaning and high-pressure water blasting operations.

The incumbent ensures the successful mobilization, execution, and completion of projects while serving as the primary point of contact to ensure contractual requirements, safety standards, and work scopes are met in the field. The Supervisor Project Management is accountable for onsite health and safety, development and implementation of job-specific safety procedures, and ensuring all team members meet required training, certification, and compliance standards.

This role leads field crews in industrial, environmental, and hazardous work environments, supporting safe, compliant, and profitable project delivery. The incumbent escalates issues as needed, reports daily activity, and drives project performance in fast-paced, safety-sensitive environments.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coaches and develops field personnel, including operators, technicians, and drivers, to support skill development and improve overall team performance in a safety-sensitive environment.
  • Leads daily field operations, including safety meetings, job planning, and coordination of project execution at client sites.
  • Supervises and improves team effectiveness by driving operational efficiencies, communication, and coordination across field and support functions.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to define project scope, priorities, and execution plans; assigns resources and ensures timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Oversees project setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with proposal preparation, scope review, and contract evaluation to ensure alignment with operational capabilities and safety requirements.
  • Monitors subcontractors and third-party services to ensure compliance with job scope, safety standards, and project expectations.
  • Acts as the primary field contact for customers, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring service delivery meets expectations.
  • Supports job costing and project financials, including tracking hours worked, reviewing project performance, and assisting with invoicing and change orders.
  • Ensures strict adherence to health and safety protocols, including PPE usage, confined space procedures, and hazardous work practices.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Working knowledge of industrial cleaning operations, including high-pressure water blasting equipment and practices.
  • Strong understanding of industrial safety standards, PPE requirements, and hazardous work environments such as confined space and plant operations.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to direct field teams in dynamic, time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to develop and execute project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of field activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project conditions, troubleshoot issues, and make sound decisions in the field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic financial and analytical skills, including understanding budgets, job costing, and project metrics.
  • Knowledge of environmental and industrial regulations such as RCRA, DOT/MOT, and TSCA is an asset.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and travel as required by project demands.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hands-on experience in industrial cleaning, including high-pressure water blasting is required.
  • Experience working in field-based industrial or environmental services environments such as refineries, plants, or heavy industrial sites.
  • Experience leading or supervising field crews, or demonstrated ability to step into a leadership role.
  • Experience managing or supporting projects from initiation to completion in a field execution environment.
  • Ability to meet safety-sensitive role requirements, including use of respirators and compliance with PPE standards.
