​​The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a cleared Deputy Program Manager on the Digital Infrastructure Network Manager (DINM) Program. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Department of the Air Force.  

​ 

​We are seeking an accomplished Deputy Program Manager to join a high-impact team delivering enterprise command and control solutions for the Department of the Air Force. In this critical leadership role, you will partner with the Program Manager to oversee program execution, drive operational excellence, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. You will help manage cross-functional teams, in particular operating out of the Orlando FL location, coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders, and support the integration, testing, and deployment of advanced capabilities in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong program management expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to delivering mission success on complex, multi-vendor efforts. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • ​Lead day‑to‑day program operations for the Orlando FL team and ensure seamless alignment with strategic objectives. 

  • ​Partner with engineering, technical, and operational teams to deliver fully integrated solutions. 

  • ​Provide strong technical leadership to the site team, providing critical decision support on complex technical courses of action and driving deployments. 

  • ​Monitor program performance across cost, schedule, and technical baselines; drive corrective actions when needed. 

  • ​Support the development and execution of program plans, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics. 

  • ​Monitor task progress, identify risks/issues, and drive timely resolution of blockers. 

  • ​Responsible for making sure the program is staffed and working with teammates to achieve Leidos success. 

  • ​Supports delivery of CDRLs and technical deployments of hardware and software. 

  • ​Coordinates with government customer, understands customer’s technical needs. 

  • ​Identify staffing and skill gaps and collaborate with line management to address program needs. 

  • ​Act as the tactical, day-to-day leader for DINM operations at the Orlando FL site.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Additional years will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • ​8+ years of program or project management experience in a technical or engineering environment. 

  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

  • ​Proven success supporting or managing complex, multi‑disciplinary programs. 

  • ​Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes (systems engineering, software development, hardware integration). 

  • ​Demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule, and performance in dynamic environments. 

  • ​Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Desired Skills: 

  • Active and current DoD/DoW TS/SCI clearance.

  • ​Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, SAFe, or systems engineering frameworks. 

  • ​PMP certification or equivalent. ​Leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams of 20+ personnel. 

  • ​Experience supporting complex defense programs, particularly with the U.S. Air Force. 

  • ​Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
