Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday 9 AM - 6 PM, one day 10 AM - 7 PM
  • Weekends as needed to support the students or campus events 10 AM - 3 PM

Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $27-$35 per hour
The Certification Specialist is responsible for coordinating certification readiness, scheduling, documentation, and testing administration for students. This role serves as the primary certification registrar within the Student Success department, ensuring students are accurately tracked, scheduled, and supported through the certification testing process.
By centralizing certification administration and monitoring, this role enables Student Success Coordinators to focus on student outreach, intervention, and engagement.
This position is deployed at campuses where student population size warrants dedicated certification administration support.
Key Responsibilities
Certification Administration
  • Serve as the primary campus registrar for certification documentation and processes
  • Verify certification eligibility and manage required documentation
  • Track student certification milestones and cohort progress
  • Coordinate scheduling for certification exams (FAA or other governing bodies as applicable)
  • Maintain testing rosters and certification records in institutional systems
Certification Readiness
  • Monitor certification pacing and identify students eligible or overdue for testing
  • Track student use of certification preparation tools and resources
  • Stay current on certification requirements and regulatory updates
  • Communicate certification progress to Student Success and Academic leadership
  • Flag students who may be at risk of falling behind certification timelines
Testing & Exam Support
  • Proctor certification exams in accordance with regulatory guidelines and institutional policies
  • Prepare testing environments and ensure exam integrity and compliance
  • Document exam outcomes and maintain secure testing records
Data & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate certification documentation within CampusNexus and related systems
  • Support reporting related to certification readiness and student progression
  • Assist with audits, accreditation reporting, and certification data integrity
Collaboration
  • Partner with Academic leadership, instructors, Student Success Coordinators, and Career Success teams to support certification progress
  • Assist with certification readiness workshops and student milestone programming
Performance Expectations
This role contributes to a performance-driven environment focused on student certification outcomes. Metrics may include:

Qualifications
Education
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in student services, certification administration, academic operations, or a related role
  • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and certification timelines
