Job description

Sr. Data Analyst
Step into a pivotal role where finance meets data analytics and make a real impact on healthcare operations. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be at the forefront of transforming complex financial data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Working closely with the Financial Insights Team-an innovative, dynamic group bridging finance and analytics-you'll leverage your expertise to optimize financial processes and reporting, ultimately supporting better patient and operational outcomes.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large datasets and draw meaningful insights
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly Tableau, with experience in other BI platforms like PowerBI, Spotfire, Domo, or Sigma highly valued
  • Advanced skills in Excel-including pivot tables, data modeling, and custom calculations
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, preferably with experience working with EMR systems such as Cerner or Epic
  • Basic understanding of SQL, capable of pulling data, creating joins, or writing simple queries (SQL skills preferred but not mandatory)
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Knowledge of healthcare data systems and analytics in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Experience with data extraction and manipulation, especially in support of operational and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with other BI tools and dashboard management on enterprise platforms

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, data analytics, or a combination of both, ideally within healthcare
  • Previous experience working with healthcare EMRs such as Cerner or Epic

Other Requirements:
  • Located near Chicagoland with the ability to come into the office approximately 1 day per week.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance and operations teams

  • Compensation: $95,000-$105,000 annually
